Bristol Fringe

Bristol is lively and bubbling ... why not organize an event as that of Edinburgh Fringe?

This will generate a lot of revenue to Bristol and also a platform for many talented minds...

Why the contribution is important

Culture, Platform for Talents, Arts, Tourism , Revenue

Anything that gets visitors to bristol is a fab idea in my eyes and this idea in particular will create a lovely atmosphere.

Yeah.. I could imagine the stretch between 'Cabot' and the 'St Augustine's parade' filled with street performers exhibiting their talents in the morning times and evening their real performances on various places across Bristol.

this will bring loads of visitors to Bristol. with lot of Business and local independent traders benefiting from the event..

Bristol probably has the highest concentration of circus/street performers, schools and companies in the UK. So, I think it could be a success, and become part of Bristol's new 'identity'. Maybe the Fringe could end with the St Pauls' Carnival (although it's not during main summer holiday or Bank Hol periods) or it could run the same time as UPFEST (May Bank Hol).
We even have slightly better weather than Edinburgh!

There are currently already 62 major festivals that take place in Bristol.
Rather than starting a new one perhaps the existing ones could be better supported to grow and fulfill this brief.
