Chewing Gum Stains
This is a common scene everyday , if you pass by cabot circus around 8:00 AM. A council worker will be cleaning something on the pavement using a jet pump..
if u notice it keenly you can see small round shaped white stains all over the pavement.. this is nothing but the chewing gum..
a council report states that it take 30p to clean a stain whilst it takes only 10p for the production cost..
A portion of amout if being spent by bristol council to clean the chewing gum stains..
Why not we draw some funny symbols on the pavements - mentioning not to spit the gums on the streets?
Schoolls and other educational institutions to instruct & educate children not to spit gums on streets.
Why the contribution is important
Cleaner streets.. It will save lot of money for council.. Funny symbols on the streets.. will make streets colorful and attract people to spot the characters..
A fine could be imposed on the defaulters and volunteers could be arranged to collect the same and use it for council activities..
