Eco taxis for Bristol

There could/should be some incentivisation to encourage SMALL ECO taxis suitable for one person. It seems ridiculous for single persons arriving at Temple Meads to travel by gas guzzling enormous virtual minibuses.

Why the contribution is important

Why is the idea needed? To reduce (i) pollution and (ii) traffic congestion

Who will benefit from your idea? Drivers and everyone who breaths

How would your idea be funded? Might need directives or incentives or encouragement. e.g. increasing overheads for gas guzzlers and tax breaks for ecocars. Also PUBLICITY, discussions etc awareness.

If we start using electric cars for taxies this would be fab! All taxi ranks can have multiple charge points so the don't run out and they would also be cheaper to run and therefore the fares can be reduced. Brilliant!
