Littering and dog fouling
Littering and dog fouling is a problem for the city in both our streets and our parks. To increase the enforcement side of managing this problem the council should train parking wardens(civil enforcement officers) to issue these fines as part of their daily work. This would be even more useful as more areas of the inner city will be covered by the wardens following the roll out of the proposed resident parking areas. In a way the council could target two issues that affect local areas with one set of enforcement officers. This would leave more specialist officers to target larger fly tipping problems. Would it also be possible to name and shame individuals who fail to pay their fines.
Why the contribution is important
This idea is important to help reduce the amount of littering and dog fouling that the city has to ensure any campaign is sustainable effective enforcement is essential.
