Monitor Taxi Drivers/Bus Drivers with CCTV

My idea is for CCTV to monitor Taxi Drivers/Bus Drivers using Bus Lanes. Reason being, I witness them everyday jumping from bus lane to normal roads driving over the solid white line to beat the traffic and beat traffic lights. It is an offence to drive over a solid white line and nothing is done about it. If they are caught then they get fined, it's easily done because there is a system in place already that catches drivers who go Into bus lanes so why not monitor pier and dangerous driving.

Why the contribution is important

Give me one good reason why it isn't

    Presumably they often have to do this to get round people illegally parked in the bus lane?

    Some bus and taxi drivers change lanes etc., but most, especially taxi drivers keep to rules.
    However, it is illegal parking by any driver in bus lane which needs to be addressed.

    Agree with EWolfe and agreen...The real issue of illegal parking in the bus lane that needs to be addressed, and this means illegal parking anywhere by anyone (even those in authority/"positions of trust").

    We have more than enough video monitoring and spying in this city/country already, I don't think we need any more.

    Sorry your missing the point, I see bus drivers and taxi drivers on a daily basis using the bus lanes, they see the lights turn to red then skip across the fixed white line and get into normal lanes that we use. They also do it the other way round too. My point has nothing to do with people being parked in bus lanes, it's the total disregard to road users because these people think they can drive how they want. You don't see normal car drivers jumping only the bus lane to avoid red lights because the bus lane is green, so what gives them the right to do it!!!!!
