Park & Ride to stop and pick up Bristol people

Park & Ride are express buses from P&R sites to the centre of town.  Bristol City Council subsidises these services to several hundreds of thousands every year, however, the benefit is felt by residents of our neighbouring councils.  P&R buses should make at least one stop on the way to the centre to pick up Bristol people - after all they're paying for the service.

To speed loading,Bristol passengers should pay exact fare only or use a smart card or multi-journey ticket to cut down on change faffing!

Why the contribution is important

People need better access to affordable express buses into the centre

If this isn't mired in First Bus bureaucracy, it seems like a sensible plan. The fast loading thing would be important though.

    The 902 does this already.

It starts at the Park & Ride site on the outskirts of the city. The next stop is Temple Meads. This is a proposal for it to make one stop on Bath Road, probably by Sandy Park Road. This would provide an express bus service for Brislington people and Bristol City Council tax payers who pay for its subsidy.

I think that the whole 'public transport' dilemma needs looking at. Rather than yet another company we should attempt to have one actual not for profit company run the transport in bristol. First is definitely not doing a very good job and it is bloody expensive right at the times when most people need it most. If we really want to reduce cars in the centre we need to sort the busses out.
