Skills share
Business' and agencies agree to offer their skills and services, to an agreed level of time and / or value. Skills from lawyers to electricians, accountants to cleaners etc.
You may not be able to afford to spend money on say a legal contract, or getting your boiler repaired, but can offer risk assessment help, cleaning or security services......you get the idea !!!
If any partner in this scheme receives more than they have given, they should pay back the non commercial or 'basic cost recovery' of the service provided. Obviously this would be part of an initial agreement with partners.
Companies may also wish to contribute skills to charites and voluntary organisations for free.
Why the contribution is important
This could offer various things :
1) startup or small companies may benefit from the greater experience and knowledge of established partners
2) little or no actual money leaves a partner !
3) Potential for more business to remain in the city
4) Synergy created by being part of a 'family' of like minded people
